| Cyprus Climate & Weather From ancient times Cyprus was called the “island of the sun” because the sun shines for 340 days a year. Its climate is considered one of the healthiest in the world. Cyprus has an intense subtropical Mediterranean climate with hot and dry summers from mid-May to mid-September and very mild winters from November to mid-March. Snow is possible only in the Troodos Mountains. The average temperature is around 24 °C during the day and 14 °C at night. The sea is warm from the end of May until October. |
